Status: Planned Planned project
Free Website Templates
A planned collection of free, well-built website templates for people who want to launch their own site — with clear source code and guides that explain how each template works.
This is a plan, not a release. Nothing described on this page exists yet, and the details may change as the work begins.
Vision
Make a first website something anyone can start from — and something they can understand.
The idea
Most people who want a website of their own face the same choice: pay for a closed template they can never really look inside, or start from a blank file and give up before anything works. I want to build the path in between — templates that look good on day one and are written so clearly that changing them teaches you something.
The idea is a growing collection of free templates for different purposes: starting points such as a personal page, a portfolio or a small project site. Each one would come with readable source code, layouts and styles that are easy to customise, and short explanations of why things are built the way they are.
Alongside the templates I plan to write documentation and articles: how to change colours and fonts, how a layout holds together, how to publish the result. The templates are meant to be both a product and a classroom — people can use them as they are, or read them to learn how real pages are put together.
None of this exists yet. It is a plan for something I would like to build, and I would rather describe it honestly now than promise a launch I cannot stand behind. The structure is meant to grow one template at a time.
